Repetitive duplication

Acabo de suscribirme a una revista, y recibí un correo electrónico de confirmación duplicado.

Como ya tengo en Madrid tres números de Scientific American duplicados (disponibles para el que los pida -- pueden llegar a cuatro), decidí asegurarme de que no iba a recibir dos revistas (y dos cargos en la tarjeta).

Un breve intercambio de correo con su departamento de marketing ha mostrado por qué recibí el correo duplicado. Dejo como ejercicio para el lector calcular cuántos intercambios de correo más habrían sido necesarios para que el servidor fallase por falta de espacio. Los nombres han sido alterados para proteger a los inocentes.

Por cierto, esto me recuerda que estoy encontrando un montón de dobles aquí en Londres... personas que me recuerdan a otros que hay en Madrid. Yo asumo que el problema es que la genética tiene sus límites y a partir de un determinado momento empieza a repetirse... lo cual probablemente empiece muy pronto a pasar con mi blog.
